Background/ Inspo: My Mimi (mom’s mom) has been a licensed massage therapist and esthetician for over 30 years. Her school instructer was instructed by Janet Travell, physician, founder of trigger point therapy, and author of Myofascial Pain and Dysfunction-The trigger point manual. I began receiving massages when I was 6 years old when I visited her during the summers in Florida- here, I fell in love with the environment, the healing potentials, and the capability to help in many forms. After school, I began working 1 on 1 with Tina Roach, owner of Proficient Massage Therapy. Between the two of us, we helped ease pain, and bring relief to 30-40 individuals on a weekly basis. I gained experience on how to manage a successful spa, market to the community, and promote advertising through creative specials. Tina entered a phase of wanting to retire, and at that point I was ready for a change to challenge myself further, accepting a position with Rivet House in June, 2024.
Specialty: Reflexology, Swedish, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy
Certifications: Trigger Point Release therapy, Myofascial release, Neuromuscular Release therapy, Reflexology, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and Cupping
Why? I understand the variation of preferences that enter my massage room, and it is important to me to cater to every single individual need. It is one desire to want complete relaxation, and another to have a specific focus on an area of discomfort, or a chronic ailment. In school I was taught, the number one mistake of therapist is not listening to the clients needs, and ever since, that alone has been my prioritized specialty. I am here to listen, and I am capable of adapting my skill set to suit you. It is an amazing ability we have to be able to speak, and hear, and with a little bit of intuition, you may be surprised of what we may discover during a session.
Hobbies: Spending time in nature, Loving on my three big rescue dogs, interior design, cooking-currently learning to become a grill master, and of course, Georgia football.
School- I attended Georgia Career Institute in 2022, where I maintained an A average, and was recognized as an Elite student (only few were chosen from my class)
Favorite Products: I love using Aromatherapy during my service. Clients will get to choose between 5 different fragrances. To me, these aromas bring ultimate relation, calming the mind resulting in a calmer state of the body. I also love using Hot and Cold sensations to create different effects to further soothe discomfort via steamed towels, and CBD relief cream from Cause Medic. At home, I am guilty of indulging in Dr Teals body oils. The shea Butter and almond, and eucalyptus fragrance smell amazing, and are great moisturizers.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
